Had the septic pumped today, then flushed the toilets and ran the sump. The water ran into the septic with a strong flow and no backup into the house. They said the pipe from the house out was fine. They said the hole that goes into the second tank might be partaily blocked causeing a back flow. They said it would take up to 2 weeks or less for the tank 2 fill again and if it does back flow to pull the cap on the pipe and check the level to see if it is to full.If its to full and backing up they will have to dig up the cap and route out the hole that goes to the second tank.I guess it is a waiting game now to see what it does.BILL

I had a similar problem with a 7 year old system, but it was clogged at the inlet to the first tank.

    ROOTS!

Almost a two inch thick root made it’s way between the cracks of the “rings” in the first tanks inspection hole then creeped over to the inlet and was working it’s way toward the house in the sewer pipe. Dang tree was across the yard!

The good thing was once I cut the root at the hole, I could pull it all the way out of the tank. It would have not been pretty getting the FW to go into the tank to remove the rest.

    Good luck.
