I am a big fan of HOF fisherman Joe Bucher. A catch phrase of his is – Its a pig, a hog, a cow, a horse. Its a slab – a super slab.
Thus my biggest are reffered too as “super slab’s”

Several years ago I lost it watching two guys boat a big musky on tv with my kid. The one doing the netting started out the name calling by saying that the fish was a “real pig”, but immediately followed that up with “that fish is a horse!” My kid thought the guy was nuts for not knowing the difference between a fish and a horse. I’ve simply used “Dandy” to describe big fish.

The new season of Lindner’s Angling Edge just started and it seems that Al’s word of the year is “muley”.

When the captain says something like that, my response is “I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat”

That would most assuredly result in great cranial blunt force trauma to the captain, if he even dared to suggest that around the home site.
