Can you imagine if only the govt and police having weapons? Our whole state of mind changes. We are then subservant to those that “protect” us because they wield all the power and we have none. That is not freedom and it is not American.
You would have to add criminals to that list of people with guns Mike. They will never get them all.
If they try to make us register our firearms or make owning certain guns illegal, I guess I’ll just have to be content being a criminal.

All Obama will need to do is claim either “National Security or a Presidential Determination” and bypass congress. First and foremost is if he is really willing to do that. Second is any required funding is still controlled by congress. So he could sign and executive order and not get the funding to pay for it….like that has stopped anything else in our gov’t. This one is very concerning to me. The media and many polititians have once latched onto the “Gun Control”. Just proves how blind they really are, and how many people out there really believe this will work.
He can’t do anything without congress, congress writes the laws not the president. If he does in fact follow through with his plans to bypass the house and the senate he should be arrested for treason

One of the members of Creepy Uncle Joe’s task force has a son that has been convicted, not just charged, but convicted, of planning a mass murder at a high school in Massachusetts in 2008.
And they have Eric Holder, who is under investigation for sending over 2,500 guns to Mexico illegally.

When you elect a tyrant, you should not be surprised when you get tyranny! Some of the better informed here have predicted this assault on the second amendment! Many others appear to have been oblivious to the threat. I have included two stories I ran across in ‘Fox Nation’ news today, the first seems to highlight the hypocrisy of the anti-gun folks, while the second seems to victimize the heroic victim!

FIELD & STREAM – State Senator R.C. Soles (D – NC) Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician’s home county said.
The intruder, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick counties.
The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening.
“I am not in a position to talk to you,” Soles said by telephone.
“I’m right in the middle of an investigation.”
The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn’t hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim.
In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the “Do as I say and not as I do” Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting.
Why hypocritical you may ask?
It is because his long legislative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.

Not only did this brave 15-year-old defend his home against 2 burglars, but also his 12-year-old sister who was in the house with him. He grabbed his father’s AR-15 and shot one of the burglars multiple times. They got away but had to go right to the hospital where the minor was arrested and the adult who was shot was flown to a different hospital.
I wonder if they sent Doah Joe out there to say that on purpose as a preemptive strike. Maybe they were hoping to elicit a dramatic response from opposition that might be seen as hysteria. “Their they go again, clinging to their guns”.
As for eliminating term limits, that will never happen. Rep. Jose Serrano is just doing some butt kissing.
The constituion also protects us against an immoral majority which is what I see happening here.

You have 26 dead innocents at a school, you cannot go to a school, mall, or movie theatre today and feel 100% safe. Something is going to change, I’m sorry.
I’m not in favor of any type of anti-gun laws, don’t believe guns kill people, etc. but something will change based on the violent acts that have occurred lately.
That’s not tyranny! There’s a trend in this country and the solution is not readily apparent to anyone. But we must try something.
Personally, I’m in favor of making stricter laws on prosecuting people who’s guns get used in a crime. So for example, if my kids (or a neighbor or whoever) grabs one of my guns and kills someone, I go to jail. I bet with that type of law, guns get locked up by their owners real quick and accessibility to them becomes limited.
There are way more solutions to this terrible trend than magazine restrictions and attacks on AR type guns, but rest assured, something is going to change.
