    I don’t agree that because McCarthy threw the flag they don’t get the review. That’s what Carey was saying, the review was already NFL mandated by the turnover.

    He was penalized 15 yards for throwing the flag when he was not allowed to. But doesn’t supersede the review.

    In the end, you want to allow what happens on the field to be called correctly and not overridden by odd rules. I believe that is what happened.

    They reviewed, made the changes to the call, and penalized GB on the kickoff.

    Booth review (upstairs) is automatic… not on field referee review. It’s pretty simple english. If McCarthy did nothing wrong, they would not have had the 15 yard penalty either… simply, if you get a penalty during an auto booth review, slowiong the natural progression of the game, then there is no review. period. why do you think teams hustle to get the next snap off ? to beat he booth review calling down to the ref for a review….
