I have said good bye to a 15 yo gsh not too long ago. She will not be forgotten. The sadness of the loss will soon be replaced with the memories of the great times you shared with Sofie. Gabby now lives with us not as a replacement for Tinker but a new member of the house. Good luck
So sorry for your loss. I read these post and I feel the pain and wish to help with the pain but as we all know its a process we must go through. Your not alone and sharing helps. I have a paw print in plaster of paris that I keep in the living room of my chocolate lab shady that I hold when I read these post or on a day I think of her. It is like I’m still connecting with her in some small way.
I feel for ya, it is like loosing one of the family. If and when you get ready for another dog, try the shelter, there is a lot of great dogs there that are begging for new homes. I have one sitting beside me as I type here at this very moment. She is a wonderful smart dog, we love her very much and she is a spoiled brat already.
Sorry for your loss. I know what you’re going through. Had to put Reba down Labor Day weekend. Still tear up when I hold her ashhes. Our dogs are like part of the family. R.I.P. good dog.
It’s pretty tough to say Good Bye. The other thing is that time doesn’t heal. I still miss my first chocolate and he has been gone for 8 years. They really become part of you.
