Sorry for your loss, I know your pain as I had to put down my black lab this past summer. It’s never easy and it hurts for a long time…

I have said good bye to a 15 yo gsh not too long ago. She will not be forgotten. The sadness of the loss will soon be replaced with the memories of the great times you shared with Sofie. Gabby now lives with us not as a replacement for Tinker but a new member of the house. Good luck

    So sorry for your loss.
I read these post and I feel the pain and wish to help with the pain but as we all know its a process we must go through. Your not alone and sharing helps.
I have a paw print in plaster of paris that I keep in the living room of my chocolate lab shady that I hold when I read these post or on a day I think of her. It is like I’m still connecting with her in some small way.

I feel for ya, it is like loosing one of the family.
If and when you get ready for another dog, try the shelter, there is a lot of great dogs there that are begging for new homes.
I have one sitting beside me as I type here at this very moment. She is a wonderful smart dog, we love her very much and she is a spoiled brat already.

    Thanks for reading.

It’s pretty tough to say Good Bye. The other thing is that time doesn’t heal. I still miss my first chocolate and he has been gone for 8 years. They really become part of you.

    Wishing you the best!

This is the only reason I don’t like dogs. They just don’t live long enough and put us through this.

On the other hand I wouldn’t give up those years with my/our dogs for nothing.

It takes a long time for the hurt to go away.

    Good Dog Sophie.

How true, lost my dog Smokey, June 8, 2003. Still think of him often and have not tried to replace him yet.

I miss all my dogs and cats. But I am confident I will see them again one day and all of us will gather at that dog park one day.

Always hard to do, been there 4 times so I know.

Like once said, if there are no dogs in heaven, why would I want to go there?

    My condolences.
