Merry Christmas. I received some Gander gift cards and want to beef up my crankbait collection. What are the must haves in your collections? I fish pool 4 and the pond the most.
    Thanks.

On pool 4 my favorite is anything in perch or orange firetiger. As long as it has an orange bottom, we have had success on them.

I use SR 7,s mostly. Last year the hot color, and I mean “HOT” was blue and white. Year before was black and silver or black and gold.

Flicker shads. Great river bait and not to much money. Not a big deal if one or two get hung up on the bottom.

    #7 blue flickershad

    #5 jointed shad rap parrot

Caught more on these two on lead core on pool 4 than anything else…maybe because I used them the most…duh!

What is your style? Do you prefer to troll or cast? I do very little trolling anymore. The Live Target Gizzard shad has become my absolute best versatile bait over the last couple years. Everything from vertical jigging like a blade bait to ripping along rocks and weeds. Also the Live Target rainbow smelt has been a bait that gets eaten with aggression on the river.
