Just a little more then a dusting of snow here along the St Croix.
December 20, 2012 at 3:50 am #1122165We are the same as well.
(2 inches so far but having thunder and lightning )December 20, 2012 at 3:56 am #1122167Got snow and ice here in NW Illinois already. Was not supposed to turn to snow until tomorrow mid day…. thunder too!
December 20, 2012 at 4:01 am #1122168We don’t even have a flake yet. On the 10 pm news they said we might not get as much as they thought. I wonder if all the places that closed for tomorrow are regretting it…
December 20, 2012 at 4:15 am #1122172Not one flake here in Holmen/Onalaska and over 40 private schools and school districts have already called tomorrow off. I hope we get pounded!

December 20, 2012 at 11:12 am #1122185What a diffrence a few miles makes. Where I’m at on the south side of town 2″ at best, on the north side theres 5″. With what the weather man said and where the southern edge of the snow was supposed to fall it sounded like where I live was going to be right in the middle of the deepest amount. North of me 60 miles where Ederd lives they got 8″.
Its supposed to snow all day here again but this time I’m a wait and see what happens. All the snow thats fallen is the heavy wet type that sticks to everything and the winds up so some powerlines are probably going to come down. The farther north you go the deeper the amounts.
December 20, 2012 at 11:29 am #1122189I’ve got 12″ here in the Capital City, with 2 to 4 more inches on it’s way!

December 20, 2012 at 2:02 pm #1122252Didn’t see a snow flakes until Plymouth this AM. I did have some brisk air and wind this AM when I drug the garbage cans to the curb. Felt almost like winter.
December 20, 2012 at 4:15 pm #1122311Well the weather has turned and now it looks like winter is here. The winds have comeup to atleast 35 too 40 and stonger gusts out of the north. Its freezing everything that was wet early this morning and the roads are very slick.
I have a little S-10 pickup with good rear tires and I had to back down two small hills and finially I had to go back the way I came to a plowed throughfare just to make it into my driveway. Its snowing and its blowing sideways, winters finially showing its icicles here.
You know how the winds howl through the trees and comes around the corners of the houses during a blizzard, thats what its like here right now. The blowing snows creating visabilities where you can’t see the hilltop 300 yrds away. Its blowing all the icicles off the gutters, not really, but the winds a howling strong every 10 minutes.
December 20, 2012 at 4:33 pm #1122323Remember guys……….they call it “heart attack” snow for a reason. Take your time shoveling.
If you are really getting dumped on and you plow with a wheeler might not hurt to plow now and do it again when it’s finished. Might be to slick to get traction with a huge amount of wet snow. Even with my one ton dually I’ll plow half way through on big storms.
Stay safe.
