Each Xmas I touch base with 2-3 of my mentors. This year two passed, so I’ve only got one to visit.

Just a reminder of how time passes, i guess…

I have done the same for years. In fact, just a year ago in October, I lost another one. The sad part here, was I was trying to contact him when I realized I had missed the funeral by about a week. I have usually been almost a pain trying to keep in touch with those who have helped shape me up. But, I think they all appreciate someone wanting to know how they are doing. Merry Christmas!

You have to do it while you can. It’s so sad that we learn a lot from them, but then relize how much more we could have. Not a trap I set to this day that I don’t think about the greatest man I have ever known. My hero and mentor passd in Oct 2009. Still get a bit choked up when I reflect back and read the few stories I have shared with people over the years. He was 98 when he passed and dam I still wish I could talk to him just one more time
