Great show! I watched it with my 20 month old son. Eveytime a fish came through the hole he would run to the tv and go “ooohh” Can’t wait to try what I learned.

You know those swans that were swimming around preserving that open water? Well on Sunday they were sitting on the ice wondering where they should fly to. Gull was locked up but I did not see any eager anglers out anywhere.

    James/Will,

Great show!!!! In the show a popup showed that you were using 5/16oz Slender spoons. Can you share why you were using the heavier spoon in 8-9 ft of water versus say the 1/8 oz that is the same size profile?

During most of the day when the eyes were a little more finicky I was using a 1/8 oz; however, when the fish are really aggressive it can work better to use the heavier spoon. For one this gets you bait down quicker, not necessarily a big deal in 8-9 FOW but still the faster you get it down the better when you’ve got active fish below you, and also when the bite really turns on a spoon with a faster drop rate can often result in more bites than a spoon that flutters on the drop
