As a full time fishing guide on the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan I spend a lot of time on the water and on the Ice. December is the month that we transition between open water fishing and begin gearing up for the Ice season. Being on such a large body of water it takes a while and a good long stretch of some really cold weather before we are looking at safe enough ice to get out on. I know there are a lot of us watching that forecast awaiting the arrival of some arctic air to show itself for a while to broaden the map of safe fishable ice. While we have to wait a little longer than most for the arrival of safe ice it is always nice to see and read the reports from those who do have fishable ice so as we begin to get more and safer ice conditions please keep the reports coming I enjoy to read them and as soon as I can get on the ice I will get some reports from our area out there for every one else to read.
