Anyone up for trading AP after this season? I don’t know what’s up with his contract or anything but we could get the WORLD for him. And how many productive years does he have left?

This was just signed last year, so I would imagine he is in year 1 of his new contract. I could see someone like Dallas picking up this deal.

Jeff is up on trading him! You will never great a GREAT quarterback for him, they are to hard to fine. Best you might get is a Cassels and a draft pick or two. I heard someplace that a AP trade involving draft picks would likely be a 1 – 3 – 5. How good would those be? Depends on who is trading as to how high the picks are. So, if the Giants did it would you be happy with the last pick in each of those rounds? If it was a bad team (which has the good picks) why would they trade for AP if they couldn’t make a Super Bowl run? Toss in his contract and you can see a trade would not be as easy as we think.

……..NO TRADE PERIOD.! ……rrr
December 6, 2012 at 9:20 pm #1118083I think he has 1 maybe 2 good years left. And without a QB now we’re not going to any superbowls so I say why not. I mean really. We’re not going to the superbowl with him…….er’ are we? If the answer’s no, trade away and get something in return.
He’ll be 28 in March

They also both have two very high priced veterans (Mauer and AP) with injury histories. Good chance their best years are behind them, and if you could get a handful of blue chip prospects or young starters with a high ceiling – both teams should pull the trigger. The current supporting cast of both teams will not be enough to win in the near future. Rebuild before their next injury and its too late ~

The Vikings seem one good draft away from getting back into the mix, Ponder must also step up his game, a serviceable Ponder behind AP and Harvin with some more weapons on the outside would make this team playoff bound. IMHO

Trade him to the Pack!
He would look great in green and gold. Great player, good person, a great addition to any team. At the same time I would understand the Vikings getting the most they can when he is at the top…depends on their realistic goals in the the next 2-3 years. He is one of those player that one must respect for his talent no matter your team loyalties.
