PSS you procrastinators drive me nuts!
A person can be both given the right situation, your wife has proven to all of us that she is a very bright woman.I would go with her answer if I was in your position.
As for myself; I need a couple days to think about this.
When does voting close. Want to make sure I get in mine before it does!
9 for planning
13 for procrastination
The Procrastinators are getting it done!

I left it open. I’ll have to come back to this in a couple years.
There might be a third element, Perfectionism. I took a course once on procrastination and perfectionism. Did you know that there are people who actually index and label their sock drawer?
If its absolutely essential I’ll make my mind up then, other wise I just go with the flow and see what comes up when the time gets there, that leaves me alot of time to make my mind up. I don’t like to make my mind up and have things change, its too far out in the future to be sure.

Were not in a hurry if your not Brian. Lol!
I’m kind of in between. I’d like to know by Wed/Thursday what I’ll be doing on a Saturday. I hate planning it out too early because weather is something I can’t control. If I plan to drive somewhere a ways away on a Saturday 2 months in advance, my wife will plan things for Sunday.
When that Saturday comes around and there are 30mph south winds, I either have to go in that crap or not go at all. If I wait until Wed/Thurs I can at least have an idea if it’s going to be reasonable out and pick the better day. This works for us most times.
There is always that occaision when she can only shop in 40 degrees and calm because 20 degrees with 30 mph winds isn’t fun to shop in.
Brian, you need to add the third option- the Capitalist Optimizer. The one that doesn’t care how far in advance things are planned; or if nothing was planned at all. He/she knows the conditions are more than favorable for the desirable results, even if they didn’t know at the time they were seeking those results, and immediately executes a plan, with no thought or other consideration to take full advantage of the opportunity at hand.

That’s my wife. She has a spreadsheet to keep track of all of her spreadsheets. I’m the opposite. I usually just wait and see what feels right when the time comes.
We balance each other out pretty well. Yin/yang, I guess.
I don’t think I need to tell anyone I fish with which one I am. If you still don’t know, I’ll let you know later.

Take my FW for example. When I ask her if we’re going to a Christmas party a few weeks away, I won’t get a yes or no until shortly before the date. If it was up to me, I would make a decision and go with it.
I’m a planner, but end up being a procrastinator due to my not so favorite wife.
definite planner and I hate yes hate last minute drop everything plans and procrastinators because of those people my plans tend to get changed…….

You need to be more flexibile. Adaptability is the key to survival.

Yes, I DOO have plans for your Jeff.
Amazing!
78 votes and still neck and neck. I really thought it would be lopsided for the planners…it just makes sense!
I put the procrastinators over the top. I would’ve voted eralier though…51-50!!!
I go with the Bud Grant philosophy. Never make a decision before you have to. Important information may become available later that will allow better and easier decisions. Of course for that people accuse me of procrastinating. But in fact, I am engaged in carefull planning.

I can see that. There’s been many times I’ve told Jesse I would go out fishing with him when I found out later I could have gone out with Onestout had I not committed so early.
I’ve got plans for making 50lb. of venison sausage this Saturday…what does that count as?
