Did JCPenney ever sell fishing equipment? I purchased 3 Beaver Dam Tipups today never used with the sticker that says JCPenney and the cost on the sticker was $12.00. Thanks.

They did back in the early to mid 70’s. The pennys store here in Rocchester sold all kinds of rods, reels and other fishing gear. If memory serves me right they sold a few guns as well.

December 4, 2012 at 2:10 am #1117162Pennys, Wards, Sears….they all had sporting goods sections and all of them sold firearms. The good old days. Back in the 60’s, early 70’s even Daytons had sporting goods departments and sold guns.
