I started a new group for any IDO memeber that are in Law Enforcement. Both current and retired. Not sure what the exact intent of the group is, but it would be nice to know and possibly meet IDO members in the IDO community. This is also a safe place to bash the fireman.

I’m no law enforcement guy, but I can still bash on firemen right?….. My buddy who used to be a firefighter always bragged they had a 100% save rate on basements….

Last month a fireman came to my son’s preschool for fire safety week. I trained him all week to raise his hand and ask, “isn’t it true that cops get to the fire first and save all the people”? but he chickened out. I can’t bash the fireman to bad though, someone needs a long ladder to save the cats from trees…

I’m not a cop and I don’t agree with every law you have to enforce.
Sure would be a much crazier world with out you and I would like to say thank you all for doing the job you choose to do!

it is hard to type sarcasum into a post. i get along well with the cops. every now and then, one of them isn’t happy they got the call for the drunk that needs to be taken to detox. maybe you should think about making it a public safety group. i would check in every day, after my nap.

If a cops would have scored 2 more points on their civil service exam, they could have been a firefighter

There’s a dark alley with figures in it…You, or the FD, wouldnt go in there for a million bucks. A Cop does it for a lot less and never off duty. A POLICE RESERVE OFFICER goes in there for FREE!!!

Not everyone hates cops, but no one hates fire fighters. Just sayin…..

I know that cops really want to be ff. When was the last time a ff went to a cops call vs. how many times have you seen a cop at a ff call….

We love cops, really. We send them in first to see if it’s safe for the rest of us…..

is this just talk, or is someone going to take action? a public safety group would be a good one. i would, but i have no clue how to create it. on a side note, i met 2 of minneapolis’s finest the other night, on 2 consecutive runs. they wanted our cell numbers so they could call us in on all the runs that they went on. reminded me of cagney and lacey
