    Looking to try a different spinning reel next spring. I currently use Shimano 1500s purchased about 5 or 6 years ago. It appears that many new innovations have come about. I will be using it for bass fishing. I will be using braid and weight is a consideration. Thanks for your time and efforts. Drew

    if your going to be bass fishing and using braid I would go with something bigger than a 1500. I would go with Shimano Stradic or Symetre. I use the symetre’s and I love them.
