Just being curious-I had the brain fa*t to use my enclosed as a short term camper trailer, beats setting up a tent and sleeping on the ground. Been there, done that, old bones don’t conform too well. Doing some checking, they’ve made these enclosed trailers since the early 50’s and my idea is not a new one. The question I have-any of our members done this and any advice to offer? I’m leaving Wed and any/all advice is greatly appreciated jerr

We use are trailers that we haul our 4 wheelers and sand rails to sleep in at night. There’s plent of room and we sleep on cots with sleeping bags. Big thing if buying an older trailer is that it’s insulated so its easer to heat if needed and air is nice in the summer. Lot of trailers have a 30 amp service so theres lights and a place to plug in heaters. We stay at campgrounds at the site and they have showers and other things.

Condensation on the ceiling can be a PITA if not insulated when heating. This can be fixed as easy as using PL to glue foam insulation to ceiling or as ghetto as using a blanket fixed with clothes pins to the framing. Spray foam would be nice but not cheap of quick enough for your needs.

As mentioned cots are needed or a mattress.

use a bungie to hold the door closed if its the double door style but make sure to padalock the hasp closed if you have the crossbar style so a joker cant lock you in, I have really funny friends…
