Sure. This is for season ticket holders only. They sell you a seat for say $175.00 per game. In order to purchase that seat (no matter how long you have had those seats) you need to pay a one time fee. This fee will usually run between $2,000 and up to $20,000 per ticket. Ticket price is on top.
So lets say your family started buying Viking season tickets in 1961. Through the years they were loyal customers, gradually moving up to 50 yard line seats through the years. The Vikings now want to reward your loyalty by charging you a portion of their construction costs to attend the games. Keep in mind that this was in a survey they sent out and is not policy at this point. What I don’t know is do they intend you send you a check for a portion of the profits they turn yearly?
The Twins have this for some premium seating, I think it was for less then 7,000 seats.
This is just one thing you get when you agree to publicly fund pro sports.
