As much as I hate Comcast, their internet service has been way better for us.

I have had them for about 5 years now. Started back when it was Qwest. The service is just fine. Always works like it should.

Their customer service is pretty disgusting though. If you switch make sure you get locked in on a price. They like to jerk you around when it comes to “promotions” They say one thing and do the complete opposite.

I pay $26 a month for “7 meg” service. It is really 5-5.5 megs. It always works and I have never had a connection issue ever. Also I have stand alone service. No phone, no bundling bs either.

Like every where else, they want you to bundle services to get the best deal. You will probably need to get a different modem as theirs is DSL and you need a compatible modem. If you do get a good deal, try to lock it in for a long as you can or you will find yourself back begging for a new deal and it then just depends on who you get. I switched from them earlier this year and the person I talked to would not connect me to the department I asked for and insisted on trying to sell me bundles. My experience with Qwest was much better than with Centurylink customer service.

Ugh….century link. I prefer to call them century suck. I have had nothing but issues with them and am switching to comcast. I only use their internet as I have no need for cable TV.

Make sure Century Link can deliver the 7 mg or whatever to your home. When they were Qwest they kept promising the higher speeds to us but never delivered. We switched to Charter, our only other choice. As far as I know Qwest / Century Link has never upgraded all of the local network to fiber optic which is required for the higher speeds. The old cooper wire phone lines do not have that kind of carrying capacity, most of them cap out around 1.5 mg.
