Just finished reading Dennis Andersons article on hunting Wolves. Hunters are allowed 200 Wolves during the 1st season which runs with the deer hunting season.

So, with all the predicted doom & gloom will there be 200 Wolves killed or less?

    What do you experts think?

Well, I’m not in that area of the hunt. I’d like to believe in my fellow hunter, and say they’ll register the 200.But I’m am going in the ‘over’, just because as number 200 is being registered, a few dozen more will be brought in because just how are we to know that the limit was hit about the time a puppy is being popped that morning and hasn’t made it to registration yet?

Waaaaaaay Under. I’ve been hearing you poeple complain about how bad the hunting is for so long, I am starting to believe you just have bad aim.

If our success rates follow out west, way less than 200. I think the dumb ones will get picked off, but they will get smart quick. I’ll be surprised if this season run concurrently with deer for much longer.

Way under. Wolves are much smarter than the average deer hunter

WI is up to 50 registered so far. Since the tribes rtecveived tags and vowed not to fill them, we won’t meet our quota.

Is the wolve supposed to be a sacred animal or are they just trying to stir the pot. Never mind, I think I know.

10:00pm news said that 50 have been regestered so far and that they will be closing the east central zone as of monday night. 50 animals in ruffly 24 hours of open shooting time, minnesota has a good chance to go over the 200 mark. good luck to all who have a license

X2 seen that I dont think it’s a far off number to hit the 200 mark. I cant wait for the end of November to get back out on them here in the northwoods sconni.

I will send you a photo of my buddy, he shot a nice black wolf on Saturday, his hunting is 5 for 6 as of now on wolf tags and 1 for 13 on deer.

My two cents are the hunters will take half the allotted quota. From all the trappers I have talked to in the past few months their success rate will be much higher, they gave me some good tips to for baiting so I can take my wolf come November 24th.

Those tips didn’t include using Pugs for bait did it?
