Ever wonder what boats, fishing will look like in 50 years? I’ve seen projections that fishermen will wearing virtual headsets with multi-video screens giving data, images, sound, etc.

I’m hoping for better shock absorbing seats, more solar powered electronics and a built in tackle storage system that is computerized. Batteries that last 25 years and only weigh a few pounds and trailer tires that will never wear out.

Holy cow! Non-disposable batteries and tires would have to cost about $1500.00 apiece to make them profitable!

My crystal ball: Wealthy folks will run gas motors cause they’ll be fast. We’ll have a very global economy, a good part of the wealthy folks will have been born OUS. Electric motors or nat gas for typical folks. Normal boat speeds will drop in a big way compared to today. We’ll figure out that nuclear is the only sustainable fuel source. Fish finding technology will get exponentially better.
