if this wind keeps blowing like it is right now, you will be fishing the west, northwest side of the lake. that is if you go out at all. looks to me that it is 15-20mph with gusts to 25-30mph. good luck to all that venture out. the water temp should have dropped with the snow that we got yesterday.

i just looked at the iwindsurf site, which is very good by the way, and they have the wind peaking at 17mph in the late afternoon. that is just a forcast, i can tell you that the winds are closer to 20mph with gusts to the mid 20’s here right now. sunset is about 10 hours away and alot can happen between now and then. good luck tonight……….

I was gonna but…the weather has me waiting until tomorrow. I’ll be staying until Tuesday. Chasing some skis during the daytime and trolling for walleye at night.

Here’s the report…Stayed at Hunters and had to travel to Garrison to get the boat in. Wind was horrible on the east side. Had no chance and you were an Idiot if you did! Started off at 5:00 and had a hit in the 1st 15 minutes in 9 ft. using a storm Chrome bomber? An hour later just before the sun went behind the trees, Clarence hooked up in 9′ with a 27.5 walleye. Then it was a long excruciating evening with 0 bites and even less energy! Weeds were very abundant from about 6-10′! About 11:00 My dad hooked up with a 25″ walleye on a brown shiney thunderstick. 10 minutes later was my turn…A great big ……..24″ Northern that inhaled. And I mean inhaled a orange bomber chrome! All that was sticking out of that fishs mouth was the eye and clasp! Never seen a fish take one that deep! Oh yeah…….10:30 or so Clarence had something on in 6′ of water that came off shortly after hook up! He said it was BIG! Came home this morning.
3 fish caught in 7 hours of fishing for 3 guys. Less than stellar!3 missed fish also. Would have done a little chasing, But the wind wouldn’t let us.
