How much do they cost to rebuild – with a marine mechanic…?

Anyone ever paid to have one rebuilt?

Ouch that is going to hurt the wallet on a $20,000 motor

Is the motor still under warranty? That motor has only been out a couple years so I would think it would be covered unless it was a commercial use motor.

If not under warranty… call Skeeter Boat Center for a quote. They have two platinum certified yamaha technicians on staff so should be able to steer you straight.

Looking at just the powerhead alone retails for $3600, that does not include the labor or any other parts that may need to be replaced from the ruined engine.

Sounds like one of them winter DIY projects..

    Did a 75hp Johnson once, a 300 might be fun…….or not.
