Anyone else have a weakness for good, real beef jerky? I just picked up a pound from Hagbergs in Lake Elmo and cant stop eating it!

Jeff Jerry handed a bag to me a while back. It was gone in one sitting.

The cat slime made it pretty smooth.

If you like Hagberg’s beef jerky give their bacon a try, best I’ve ever had. Either their double smoked, or their applewood. Get them to thick slice it for you. Also try their double smoked hams. I wish I lived closer to them.

City Meat Market in New Albin IA makes some outstanding jerky. It takes all the willpower I have to make that stuff last more than a day.

I’m glad I live too far from City Meats and wish Hagberg’s was further away.

Both are TOP of the line!

Dang. Wished I knew that about the bacon this morning! I’ll get some next time there. I did grab a wonderful looking t-bone for dinner. That thing will easily feed my wife and I tonight. The main reason I went was for beef sticks. I love their summer sticks. Mild and easy to eat on a trip without getting heartburn or anything.

We have a new meat market in Lakeland. I wasn’t impressed with the beef sticks there and the bacon didn’t look good enough to entice $10. out of my wallet.

BUT because of you Mike, I’ll be stopping to check them out again tonight.

There goes my shapely figure as well.

No matter how big the bag is, im eating it all till its gone!!

I have made a couple batches in my dehydrator recently with a big beef roast. Im getting pretty good but not as good as a meat market yet. I like my jerky really tough and dry and there are not many places near me that make it that way.

I can vouch for that having friends who live in Robbinsdale.

I have made beaver jerky. My kids just loved it and asked me to make it and send to them after they left home. Don’t have the recipe any more since I’m not trapping for those things. But does taste as good as any beef.

There’s seldom ever enough jerky in the bag. And now I have several other places to give a try.
