When did they start putting infomercials right in the middle of the program? I know it’s always been heavy, heavy sponsor driven episodes but to day was wayyyyyyyyy different. Today they did a commercial for a boot dryer FOLLOWED by a Cross Bow commercial! I swear they took about 5 minutes.

Is this something new, or something I saw for the first time? If it keeps up I won’t bother trying to watch anymore.

Agreed, most if not all have really tanked. I was bored last week and watched a Midwest Outdoors website streaming show…. Of a 12 min segment 6 min was fishing with a guide and caught 4 small eyes. Little to no technique or info mentioned and the other 6 min was an advertisement for a resort on the lake they were staying at. It was down right pathetic. I’ve got better things to do than sit through “fishing infomercials”

In my opinion I think that these shows have always been this way. Push product. Show people catching fish using product. They don’t show any useful info on how or where. We were happy with these shows as they were the standard. Then the bar was raised with shows like in depth outdoors and big fish 365. Info and techniques that truly work. Advertising products but not pushing them down your throat. Using products with techniques that work sells itself. Showing details, underwater views, technique, imagination and passion. End result…. The old shows suck and you turn the channel…
