Game 162 vs Toronto tonight. Last game of the year for the Twins. Another miserable year!! Really can’t believe they are as bad as last year.

Ryan better go out and find some front line starters this off season. Attendance is down about 500,000 this year and will fall even more next year without big winter moves.

The offense had some really nice stories with Mauer, Morneau, Willingham & Doumit. It’s just the pitching………….

Once Nishioka starts hitting they’ll be alright.

getting Baker back will be a good start, still a long ways away from where we will want to be, but it certainly wont hurt!

moon shot scott??? I hope that was a joke. I am pretty sure we know what Baker can/can’t give this pitching rotation. If every dime (they are willing to spend)goes to the pitching staff, is the only way they will create any optimism for next year

They got the stadium, that was to make them compete…. and what do they do, cut payroll 3 straight years and line their pockets with wads of $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

All they really need is 3 things. Pitching, Pitching, and Pitching.

Time to let that tired old excuse go. They have spent $100 for 3 years and if they get any sort of pitching next year they will be $90+ million also.

They have a $9.5 million option on Baker. At that money he won’t be back. Neither will Capps and his $6 million.

    Like MNice says………..pitching, pitching, pitching.

I think a coaching change is in order. If Gardy is going to stay, then at least get a new hitting coach- like Brunansky from AAA. At least he seems to get the guys hitting before they come up to the majors. After Gardy and Vavra get them slap hitting again they can’t do a thing for weeks!

With the new T.V contracts going into effect in 2014, each of the 30 MLB teams are guaranteed a minimum of 25 million dollars a year for broadcasting rights. Twins fans need to remember that number when the organization throws out we don’t have any money, or we’re a small market team.
