Crappies were big, walleyes were plentiful and deep, smallies were big and not that hungry….

Weekend at Rainy

Heading up this coming Wed thru Sun. Weather looks like it is going to change and get cold and windy. This is our first trip to Rainy. We are staying at Thunderbird Lodge. Being a newbie, are there going to be places to get out of the wind and catch fish and not get beat up? I know its a huge body of water, but just looking for some advice from non-rookies of Rainy. Thanks.
