Anyone know what to use in order to trap willowcats? Like what kind of food to put in the trap, and where to put the trap> etc. Thanks

I don’t know what to put in the trap but I know people catch them in pop cans tied to a string under water. Not sure if thats just in the spring when they are spawning or not though.

If you have a stream that has a good population of them, then a pop can with a small square of chicken liver stuck in side and stuck in the rocks will work. They are just a mini catfish, they like meat too. They will wiggle their way in to get it, then hang in there since its nice and dark, or get stuck coming back out.

A 1 liter bottle spray painted black works good too, if you just want to set a few bigger traps instead of a ton of pop cans.
