    I see the coaches picked the Gophers to repeat as conference champions.

    I might need to pick up some tickets at SCSU this year. Won’t be any NHL hockey for awhile.

    I’m looking forward to this season. We just booked hotels for the outdoor game in Chicago and will be ordering tickets when they go on sale Monday.

    Really looking forward to this year. I think they have a good group returning and a few talented freshmen coming in. Should make for an interesting year. Thinking I may have to pick up a few tickets this year myself.

    It is a huge bummer that Connor Reilly is out for the season with a knee injury though. He put up some good numbers last year in the league he was in.

    Should be an exciting season and I have to agree the biggest ? is goaltending.

    The wife and I are kickin around getting tickets to the Bemidji series up there and making it a snowmobile/gopher hockey trip.

    I heard on the radio today that the owners have a proposal for the PA that is likely to be accepted… Might have NHL back a little sooner than most of us thought… Just a rumor at this point.

    Sorry to stray from the Goph’s. I think they’ll be strong again this year… I think they’ve righted the ship for the most part. Hopefully they have all 3 – 4 year kids now, get rid of the Okposo’s and such.

    Can you blame a university that recruites everywhere trying to get the best players available? Or do you recommend UND takes the gophers approach and only look in a 100 mile radius?

    Eh?? Please take the 100 mile approach. With the NHL lockout the Gophers Sioux match might be our best chance of seeing some Canadian players.

    On a side note I was glad to read that sanity crept back into the Fighting Sioux logo fiasco. They get to keep 6 logos that were apparently etched into the buildings up there when built. To require them all to have been removed would have been insanity.

    Hate them or love them, the Sioux have been great entertainment through the years.

    Well, being that the Sioux are going on a Bakers Dozen “13 years” absent a National title and the Gophers have 2 National titles in that span…. you might want to change something up der! …
