What do you call the weatherstrip tape, that you put between sheet metal and the plywood ? To keep insects etc out ? It’s used along the bottom and also under the cap, betweent the tin and cap ?

Are you just talking about the foam weather strip tape that 3M makes?

not sure who makes it, but it is laser cut, to match the ridges in sheet metal nd has an adhesive sdie that you stick to the plywood/felt paper. It keeps spiders and wood ants from getting under the tin, in the voids under the tin.

thats the stuff, but for corrugated. I was looking for to be used under sheet metal roofing. Same stuff, different shape. I ended up getting a few rolls of stuff at Menards, it goes from squished flat to expands to 1″ Not sure what they called it, I will have to look on the package
