It was about 1969 while reading the Weekly Reader in 5th or 6th grade when I came upon a blurb about Hubert Humphrey. He said all he would like to do is live to the year 2000 to see what changes would take place.
After reading that I figured out how old I would be in 2000. 44 was the answer and I blew it off because no one lives until they’re 44.
Old Hubert didn’t make it. January ’78 if I recall, but I’m still here with a great family and an awesome extended Ido family.
So here’s to 2012! An if you can buy yourself a beer tonight pretend it was from me!
