Here is a 33.5 inch Monster caught recently by Jolly Roger Tackle Pro Team member Shane Hastings while pre-fishing for the Saskatchewan Walleye Trail event on Last Mountain Lake last week. She weighed 14 pounds on the digital scale before a quick release. The fish fell victim to a Jolly Roger Sunrise Craw Shad Rap. Too bad Shane didn’t get this big girl during the tournament, however he finished 7th out of 126 teams and was Runner Up for the Saskatchewan Walleye Trail Angler of the Year. Great Season Shane! Had Shane been able to fish all the events this year, he would have taken the title in a landslide.
Shane will also be fishing the Vanity Cup on Tobin Lake next week. This is Canada’s Premier Walleye Tournament with a purse over $150K. Tobin is big fish water as it usually takes an 8 pound average to be in contention. If you want to catch the fish of a lifetime, they can be had on the reservoirs of Western Canada!
Best of Fishing,
