Disposing of old lawn mower

Well, my trusty lawn boy for the last 16 years does not want to start as of last week out of the blue, so I am attempting to find a self propelled Honda and would welcome any suggestions for getting rid of the old one.

Any suggestions other than putting out the sign at the end of my lawn that says ” Free – does not start “….

    Thanks.

I’ve had good luck with Freecycle. Had 18 people want my old dead mower a few years ago.

Check to see if your local High School has a small engines class. I was constantly looking for mowers when I taught small engines.

gave mine away on CL, a lot of people were interested in the old lawn boys. I think they are actually Magnesium and not aluminum.

Do this! Call up local highschools and talk with the shop teachers to see if they need it for class.

I gave my old lawnmower to my brother to bring in the back of his truck to work in Minneapolis. Someone grabbed it before 9:15AM. That was the first time he looked to see if it was still there. I am sure it was gone within 15 minutes.

Tech colleges love old engines to teach engine repair.

Yes, I am going to give a try to my local high school this morning before throwing on craigslist.

I put things like that it on the end of my driveway with a “FREE” sign on it. Never seems to take more than 1/2 day for it to be gone.

take it apart with your kids.

otherwise throw it out at the end of the driveway. i pretty much dispose of everything that way. its never out there longer than a day.
