I travel for work alot and I’m the same way when I’m at these places ALONE! Eating out anywhere, by yourself sucks, as do experiencing something and having no one to share it with.

So do I and I agree completely and feel the same way…especially when you go through the airport as a beat down tired business person and you see all the excited families and people goingon vacation….but watching my kids experience their first plane ride and family vacation was what made it all worth it to me..I also like to find the nearest Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops and check them out, it’s amazing how they stock the stores for the specific region they are located in.

I do have to say… I was in Louisiana back in May… That was a little bit interesting. Of course… I was with a group of co-workers. Outside of the corporate building I was at… was a Bayou. So.. during breaks and Lunch.. I would go down by the water.. see fisherman trolling by… and an alligator roaming around. Wasn’t big… about 3’… but was still kinda cool to see. The only fun thing we did was an authentic cajun dinner. And by authentic… it was a restraunt in an old gas station.. with picnic tables set up outside under a big tent.. and a dozen deep-boilers for the crawfish (Lousiana Lobsters). They also sold some frozen food… so I brought home some Alligator legs. They were GOOD!

I have been to Florida twice and by far I liked it on the gulf side better. We took our grandson to Disney World in Orlando which was a great thing for him at age 8 but just average for me. We also went to Clearwater Beach which is near Tampa but right on the gulf and although it wasn’t on a lake or in the woods it was much more relaxing. We drove to Daytona Beach and found out the beaches were nicer on the gulf side also.
