    Good day,

Kinda new to this forum, I have a question about a potential boat upgrade. I own a 1996 crestliner 1750 fishhawk, with a 115 hp etec and am looking to maybe upgrade my boat. My motor is new and has a 20”shaft, just wondering what my options would be with this motor. I know most of the newer boats have 25”transoms. I don’t need brand new, does anybody know what year the transom heights changed. Looking for a similar size with a windshield(i have small children right now). Lund, crestliner, tracker, alumacraft, fishing specific brands. THx

Best to sell the old boat and motor as a package. And buy a new/used set up. Messing around with moving motors and rigging in the long run will cost you more headaches

…unless you deal with LaCannes in Faribault. They make swapping painless and economical. Have done it twice with them now and am very pleased.

Really like the looks of that explorer. Nice recommendation. For me the motor swap is a minor issue, i’ve done a few in my day and i rig them better than any dealer can anyways. The motor is brand new and I love the performance of it. I let the local dealership rig my last motor and they put the oil reservoir on the top outside deck in the rear corner of my boat. Douche bags. Can’t stand paying for incompetence. Looking to compile a list of potential 20”transom boats. Thanks for your time, appreciate it.
