I feel for you man, it hurts to do any thing at the end.
Our vet says it is something that we can’t do for people that we can do for dogs.
    Still hurts a bunch.
Sorry for ya,I just got a new one from the Rescue Shelter, after being without a dog for a couple of years.
Like losing a member of the family, dogs get to be like a person in the family.

Sorry to hear that Grump. I also have a lab Border Collie. Very smart dogs. 15.3 years is a long full life for a dog.

Sorry to hear and hope for the best. Never easy to watch a dog take on those later years. Damn shame they don’t live a lot longer….

You guys who adopted orphan dogs >>> My current dog found me the same way. Just a day or so from heading to the shelter. Been a gret dog!

went to vet and trying a new med see if that helps any? if not – it’s the quality of life, which is declining:(

Sorry to hear that…went though it a few years ago with a dog my family got while I was in 8th grade (she was 16). It’s tough, and I’m not looking forward to going through it again with the little stinkers I have now. Best of luck to you sir.

I have to admire your stance on quality of life for your best friend. It’s not something one gets over quickly. I never have for any of my little buddys, instead opting to learn to fondly remember the good times we had. It’s taken me a year to get brave enough to start a new pup. Now that I have I’m asking myself “what took you so long?” jerr
