Nothing like a treat on the nose at noon

Ron Schara and Raven visited the Hennepin County Medical Center today where the Favorite Daughter works.

There over lunch hour, she met up with Raven being told to leave the cracker on her nose.

Afterward Raven was passing out kisses to all that wanted them.

    Good Dog.

I should add something positive to the post. I know it means a lot to the patients as my childhood lab was certified to do that.

Cool.. I had a lab too, I’d put a small piece of cheese on his nose… he’d about cross his eyes staring at it… until I told him “ok”..then he’d flip it up and swallow it whole

That’s not the real Raven! It is a Raven imposter!

Cool! Our Floyd is a certified therapy dog, too. The patients and staff at North Memorial love when we go to visit them. Walking through the hospital with a Great Dane elicits some fantastic reactions, too. -)

Got to meet Ron this spring on a lake up north. Very nice guy. My buddy was lucky enough to have a sharpie handy and, while I tended to the floating boat, got his hat signed by Ron and Raven. Ron said “my autograph is free but Raven charges for his”.

    Good post, BK.

I may be in the minority, but man do I get sick of hearing about Raven. Not only that, but that guy cozied up on our spot during the opener. He’s just lucky his daughter was with him…and we were unlucky it wasn’t bikini weather.

A typical Pug reaction to a Lab.

I did the same thing with my lab,I could set a piece of cheese on his nose, then place a can of beer on his head, when I would grab my beer off his head, he would snatch his cheese before it hit the ground.

Nice. I had a lab/shep cross that would hold treats on his nose. He also would play dead convincingly and sneeze on command.

Can’t do the with the pug or poms. Tuffy has no nose. The poms are too excitable. Although both poms are very good at sneezing on command for treats.

I also had a Black Lab that would do that, best dog I ever had. Sure do miss him.
