My mom grew up up there, about 45 minutes north of Aitkin (Hill City)…

She talks about cougars being thru that part of the state when she was a kid… it’s really nothing new.

    Rare, but not new.

On a more serious note, Grant Sorensen has pics from his trail cam of one of these big cats… right near Duluth.

If it’s eating horse it must be hungry. Although do they put horse meat in cat food?

Farmers by our cabin in Grey Eagle would warn of big cats while we were turkey hunting. Nbd. They are out there.

Who is the blonde? She nice.

It is indeed. I would not want to bump into that cat walking back out of the woods after dark.

Don’t move to WI…. we have cougars here too. Saw my first one in 1989 near Roberts in the township of Warren.

That’s why I put the in there.I know they are in WI too. I am guessing they have always been in their historic range.

Can Grant post the picture here? Or can someone give me a link to IDOHunting or where ever the picture is?

Last year our local newslady who is a 30 something hottie had to report on a cougar loose in central Wisconsin. She did it with a straight face and I laughed my tail off for half an hour.

When I was going to school in River Falls, I used to see them all the time. Dingy dive bars like Mel’s Midtowner and Johnnies are their natural habitat.

Poor Pug, Somebody must want him; we must be careful here, otherwise it won’t be long before we start seeing him on trail cameras.
