Today at the train trestle at Cold Springs I met two bad people. I was anchored to allow a cast of 25 feet to a trestle cement footing. A boat approached from my back and proceeded to steer his boat with in that 25 feet completely ignoring my presence. When I asked him wtf he was doing, he grinned and said he should run a few quick circles around my boat with a great big grin on his face. He could have steered left and avoided any interference withmy fishing and would have allowed his entry to the side channel where he wanted to be. I believe that his overt action and statement was ment to be a personal attack and a ugly display of child like behavior. A few hours later I met the good in this trilogy. I had just started fishing a short section of rip rap that has been awfully good to me for three straight years, when a boat approached me. He apologized for interrupting me and asked how I was doing. Before I could answer, he explained that he only wanted to know if it was something he was doing wrong not what I was doing right. Well it turned out we were both doing something wrong. Lol he mentioned that the area I was fishing was a special spot that he has fished for years. I immediately offered to back out of the spot and allow him to fish the rip rap. I figured he could heal his bruised ego. He refused but he would stop back later in the day. I backed out and demanded that if he sees me on the water to stop and we can exchange info. I have never met a bad person from Iowa and this fellow kept the string going.
