Knot in shoulder

In yet another sign of old age, I have been fighting a knot in my shoulder the last few months with the knot winning. I have tried the tennis ball thing and it does not help.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good massage therapist near Woodbury ? I need to have somebody dig into it to release the knot. The gal I normally go to is great, but I do not want to wait a week.

    Thank you for your time.

Get yourself a Hitachi magic wand. Quite simply the most powerful massager that money can buy. This thing will turn tight muscles and your wife into jello. They can be picked up for about $50. Your muscles and your wife will thank you.

Funny that the guy with the screen name “Chubby” would be the one to post that.

If you would have used a palomar, it would have come out by now.

I am a firm believer in this. I was diagnosed with a “cronic back strain” and lived with it for about 8 years. After about 4 sessions of this from my chiropractor it is completely gone and healed. I would get back spasms bad enough to put me in bed on muscle relaxers for days. Now no problems.

Cool beans. You’ll see my picture on her wall. Tell her I’m the one who sent you.

I’ve avoided back surgery and neck surgery by going to my Chiropractor and would recommend him to anyone. My neurologist told me I had one of the best there was. Look up Vital Care Injury and make an apt with Dr Lavali.

Thanks, I do go to a great chiropractor here in Woodbury for my back already, but cannot get in to their massage gal until next week so I was looking for other options.

I get knots in my back on the inside of my shoulder blade fairly often. I find it typically is because I’m not drinking enough water. Once it was there, I always had problems getting it to go away. Spoke to my doctor once about it and his recommendation was to drink lots of water and take 800mg of ibuprofen twice a day. Now when I get a knot, it is usually gone in two to three days by just doing the water and ibuprofen. May not work for everyone, but it sure takes care of mine.

Jon: Got my wife one very similar and she loves it for applying pressure to certain spots.
