I want to know other possibilities I could use instead of Yamamoto’s senkos. Something a little more durable, less expensive, but comparable to the senkos… thanks!

The way I was going through them the other day, 7 bucks a bag can become a little much…

All of the duplicates look the same.

None of them have a comparable material or density.

Christophersons in Alex is the best place to get KO’s.

I buy whats on sale.Care more about colors than brands.
Will say that I like the Yams,Strike King and Gulp the best but have caught many fish with some off brands.

Try a custom guy. I bet Tom Gursky (hope I spelled his name right) could hook you up with one of his guys.

spend an extra $7 and get the O-Ring tool. Works like charm. Don’t miss any fish and the senkos last forever. Nothing compares to Gary’s plastics period. They just get tore apart. If anything just get the Gander Series.

I have had good luck with the Strike King Shim-e-sticks and Ochos. That being said I look at my plastics box and there are an awful lot of Yamamoto packages in there, actually an overwhelming majority.

You can’t find a stick bait with the weight and action to compare to a senko, but there are some that work OK Pro Tour baits ,yum dinger to name a few,but I go to the senko when the moneys on the line!

    Corey,
I agree with the success of the regular Senkos, and have heard good things about the Pachinkos.
Adams’ great suggestion to use the rubber O-rings DOES really extend your bait life.
    Good Luck

What type of hooks and size do you generally use for wacky worm riggings?

You can use an EWG 2/0- to 3/0 for 4 inch, and 3/0- to 4/0 for 5 inchers. I like the extra gap, and am sure others will post what works for them.
