That is a beautiful area. I was there about 35 years ago. So my advice would be to have fun!

Your going to one of Ontarios premiere Muskie lakes! Leave the bass stuff on the dock and break out the big rods!! Get some cowgirls and a few bulldawgs then start hucking.

I am taking a couple big rods, not much of a muskie fishermen, not for lack of trying… stayed at muskie bay resort (Crow lake) one time and went out on low with a guide recommended by said resort..hoping to learn a little, the guide gave me a red and black spinner bait and that’s what we both threw all day. Was going to have a eye for shore lunch but couldn’t even catch a walleye! The last 15 min. I finally put on a big bass jig with big paddle tail on it I’d seen Doug Stange use and had a follow. (Yea I learned something all right)..Kind of burned me on the guide thing!! I now there not all like that!! I used to guide goose hunting, so I know it doesn’t always work out….

The bigger fish were suspended deep over twenty .Caught smaller fish on the banks , had to find the cabbage or wood (beaver huts ). The big smallies ate this lure up also .. Good Luck !
