Saw loads of water moccasins and cottonmouths in Arkansas. Those things are scary. and they REALLY like boats .

Do they drop out of the trees on you or what? What did you do when you encountered them?

I guess there’s something about their eyes which lets you know if poisonous or not, who really stands around long enough to notice?

i think it has somethin to do with the pattern on the belly side, verticle bars or horizontal bars…dont remember which way means poisonous though, or if its even true

and me and a couple buddies came across a rattler on afton golf course 3 years ago, slithering its way across the fairway

I have never figured out why people are so afraid of snakes, but then again who am I to talk I hate spiders them little suckers creep me out

I am pretty much the same way.

I usually try and catch snakes I see like some spastic Jim Fowler.

I hate most spiders too, the one exception being jumping spiders.

Me too. Last Sat I poked a garder snake so it would move. It went between my legs to escape while I stood still. My wife felt faint…

I’ll admit that it still sort of spooks me when a garter will flail its mouth open or try and bite.
