Anyone have a rattlesnake photo they have taken?
    The midwest rattlesnake?
I want to write a story for Midwest Outdoors about snakes.
    I will give photo credit?

    Thanks
    Len

I have one that was run over on a road.

If you want your own photo, give me a holler. While I sit in the truck you can go take all the photos you like. Please wear high boots. I’m not going to be sucking on any ones legs.

I need one that shows its colors so an identification can be made. The last one I saw was alive but it got off the road really fast and I was not going to follow it in the tall grass.

No sucking going on anytime soon.

I am guessing there isn’t much of a mice problem there.

There are a LOT more rattlers than people think along the bluffs, especially on the WI side.

Can’t help you on a midwest rattler but you can ask my brother about the pain of a prairie rattler bite.He got bite last week(Wed) spent 3 days in intensive care.Got bite on left hand, right wrist was 6″ around left wrist was 14″.Left arm was swollen all the way up to shoulder as well as left side of body from waist to head.Don’t try and pick up even if you think it is dead. It was on the side of highway stretched out(5 1/2 to 6 ft),they watched it for several minutes it didn’t move, tongue was not even coming out of mouth, they thought it was dead he went to pick up to take picture and whamo. He has head a few wrecks in his life broken bones and concusions from hockey and he said the pain was something out of this world and never wants to experiance again.

Here’s some pics of Timber Rattlers I ran across while trout fishing in Beaver Creek State park in southern MN. My wife almost stepped on one of them while we were walking down a trail. They decided to curl up on a log where I snapped a couple pics. I got video of them rattling. The last few pics are actually two of them snuggled up.

Yeah BK – Some guy got bit in the park last year. Doesn’t surprise me one bit after what I saw. I love rattlers.

They don’t bite unless they sense fear Brian.

Why did you have to bring the FW into this conversation Mike?

Thought of you yesterday Bk when I was picking rock up north. Twice I stuck hand in the hole to pull out the rock and got the pants scared off me. Little orange striped snakes. They suffered the wrath of my spade.
