Fishing the ‘Croix below Beanies yesterday. Tuna boat guys going by, close, nose up, about a 3′ wake that I had to head into to keep from taking on water. THEN here comes these two young “gents” on their hot jet skis chasing and jumping wakes within 50’ of me. Kinda makes me wish for Labor Day. Okay, I’m done now, thanks jerr

During the walleye league last night, there was a tuna boat that decided to open it up right next to Beer Can Island all the way to the I94 bridge (no wake zone). When he made it to the south side of the bridge, he slowed down and continued to go no wake south towards Afton.

I’m blaming that stupid S O B for not being able to catch a fish last night.

We had the same kind of thing happen on p4 on Saturday. There were 6 idiots on jet skis jumping wake in a narrow part of the river. A few times they almost landed on top of each other. The worst thing about this was some idiot in his yacht was doing donuts for them to jump on. I had to come to a complete stop because it was not safe for me to pass. I finally laid on the horn and went through. They just had no idea how unsafe what they were doing was. If a boat had come up the channel at full speed it could have been a very bad situation. They will figure it out some day just like all of us had to. Until then we wait

Mike and I took on some water Saturday over the bow while trolling some sand…we had to laugh. The fact that it was so hot made it easier to laugh

    X2

See those kind on nearly every body of water, many running full bore thru the edge of the lily pads.

Just waiting to see them hit the rock pile

It’s why I don’t keep a slingshot on board: I’d use it. Preferred ammo would either be green cherry tomatoes or hard, unripe grapes.

Nice to have an old fishing pole set up with heavy line and a old hookless floating lure. Cast it in front of them or bounce it off their boat. OPPSS???? Sorry…. You can yell at them for running over your line or say, Guess YOU were a little close????
