Went out this morning for a little while to make sure I could still catch big fish after Dardanelle was to difficult. Still managed to get top 40 in the nation!

But this morning was a hammer fest. After the clouds cleared and the wind died down it was insane. I snapped off on a huge northern, missed another northern then ran to some mid lake reeds. They were everywhere! The key was tossing my white 5/16oz All Terrain Tackle Swim Jig, right up to the edge of the reeds and they would whack it right away. It couldn’t be a foot away. Had to be right on it. Caught loads of fish here are a few of the bigger ones. The one on the floor was a solid 4 lb.

If anyone is gonna be on Tonka tomorrow you will see me.

I Bet you would have liked to have a day or 2 like this one down at Dardanelle. Just goes to show how great our Bass fishing is here in Minnesota. We may not have the 8-10 Lb. fish here like they do down South but I am willing to say we have far more 3-5Lb. fish here than almost anywhere else.

If i woulda had the bag I did today I would have been leading the tournament heading into the final day! Yes down there it’s a lot of 15 in largemouth. 12in smallmouth. and 14 in spotted. Did see a few tanks everyday though.
