reputable transmission shop?

    It look like my 02 odyssey(72k miles) need a new transmission/rebuild.
    front axle seal keep leaking(1-replaced seal,2-replaced seal&axle 3-trying another seal)only last about a month before it start to leak a gain.
    any recommend reputable transmission shop in or near Rochester?

    sounds like throwing a lot of money at a bad bushing/bearing. If everything else is working it shouldn’t need a complete overhaul unless maintinance had been lacking. You may get buy with just splitting the case and replacing the bushing/bearing that is worn, it would be wise to do both sides while it’s apart. Sounds like something you will need to weigh the cost for the different options on. I don’t know of any shops down that way though.

    Yeah Jeff the wallet took a big bite. But the rebuilds at the other places quoted were similar to this place in price. And I got a brand new 3yr/100K warranty replacement. I blame GM for a cheap tranny in the original design of the 2003.
