    James,

Let me be the first to say Happy Birthday. Hope all IS Great.

IDO has come a long way since FTR.

I remember floating down river about 10-11 years ago with our boats together in front of Coville chatting about the river, and this new web site thing.

    Congratulations on ALL your successes!!

    Jack

The alternative to growing old isn’t all that attractive so I’m going to keep on keepin’ on. How does it feel? To be honest the body and mind doesn’t feel or act much different than it did when I was 25.

Of course I like to think I’m a bit wiser and have a better handle on how things work in this crazy world… but then I might just be fooling myself too. Only time will tell I guess. In fact, if you want to know what 40 was like, ask me when I’m 50. One thing I know for certain, perspective is everything.

Thanks for the b-day wishes, everyone!

    Happy birthday Sir
To be honest I miss the old days when if I showed up to launch at Evert’s you were always there getting your boat ready for that days guide trip. You put me on alot of fish in my early river days my friend and I still appreciate the time you took to shorten my learning curve. May you have the happiest of birthdays and many more to follow this one!

Happy Birthday! I guess the first time I met you you must have been about 30 and you had a sweet suburban with FTR and Crestliner stickers.

Believe this or not James, I didn’t really figure this perspective thing out until my mid 50’s. Not that I was wandering around clueless, but you have to get through your 30’s & 40’s before you start to clarify the the things that are REALLY important. Happy Birthday James;; I really DO wish I was 40 again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,with my 65 year old brain!!!!!!!!!
