laCucaracha is wonderful. should have been on my list also. there are about 5-6 little ones that i can only drive to. when you go in and you are the only one not speaking spanish, you usually get good food… get the Mole Chicken…
Elburritto is an experience, and the food is incredible. Best part is the deli and bakery. I get cold six pack bags of tamales there all the time. Excellent! Lacucaracha is good too.
Fried tacos from the Taco House across the street from Boca Chica..mmmmmmmmmmm! Otherwise, it might be a bit of a haul, but La Cosinita in Bayport is very good, call before you go, they have odd hours and if money is tight, can be kind of pricey.
Wow Boca Chica ???? I worked right by there and ate lunch there plenty of times, it is good yes but I didn’t think it was THAT great.
Best place I have found is at the corner of 94 and White Bear Ave in the old Baker Square building. I can’t think of the name off . They make there own tortilla’s and chips. On the weekends they even have an authentic band playing. If you haven’t been there I suggest you give it a try as it’s one of the best we have found
La Cocinita in Bayport off 5th ave. Small whole in the wall restaurant excellent venue for just you and the wife. Small menu including red and white sauce Enchiladas, Tostadas Burritos and tacos and assortment of appetizers. Dont let that fool you it means they can focus on freshness and quality. Slot for extra time as everything is made from scratch. Their only open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday(4pm to 9 pm) and Saturdays
