    July 4, 6 AM – 11 PM
Stopped counting the bass at 50. Also caught one nice crappie and 3 Northern. Nothing huge, but plenty in the 2-3 pound range. Also caught one bass that had a 10″ jigworm still in it’s mouth. 3 Zebra mussles attached to the plasic. Definately a first for me.

    July 6, 6 AM – 10 AM, 8 PM – 9 PM.
    32 bass, 2 northern, 1 walleye.
Biggest bass this time was 3,5 pounds. Lost one bass when it tried to jump and threw the hook. I say tried, because it was too big to get itself out of the water! At least a 5 pound fish!

    July 8 5 PM to 9 PM
Only 8 fish, but one went 4 pounds, and the big one went over 5. Too bad I missed the biggest one I had on that day!

Can’t wait to get out again!

If you spent 17 Hr’s out on Tonka on the 4th of July in that heat with all that Boat traffic – You deserve all 50 of them bass – No you deserved 10X more than that. I hardly ever fish that lake after 10:00 AM – I can not stand that much boat traffic. Was out there yesterday and by 10:00 the surface temp was up to 84 Deg. With a few cooler days and nights on the way it should cool back down some.

Very nice! Curious what kind of depths and baits you were fishing.

    Thanks.
