Today was our appreciation day for all the friends that helped us move in and recapture the traditions and family nature of our little resort.
We had 36+ adults and I couldn’t count all the kids and BK.
The dunk tank was a big hit although (after dunking BK and RRR) we had to put it out of service because of a mechanical issue. Since Steve couldn’t use the dunk tank, we had him jump off the main dock. Not only did this get him wet but now he knows what to expect if someone drops their rod into the water and he’s asked to retrieve it. HAH!
We almost had another camper talked into the dunk tank but BK wouldn’t give Kerry Harvey Twenty Bucks.
Lunch was served with hot dogs with all the fixings and a number of salads and chips.
The afternoon was relaxing chatting with old friends and new. Dan and Dave Oberg were talking about how much they were looking forward to moving their campers out again when high water comes back to visit us.
In the evening Uncle Joe was on the grill cooking hamburgers, cheeseburgers and some very hot and very good Italian sausage that was a big hit with the crowd!
Amanda (a friend of our family) help with the sweet corn, salads and setting up the tables. Thank you Amanda!
Nutzy, one of our campers was in charge of cooking up the fish for the fish fry. Another camper, Jason Pitts was giving it his all to coat the fish using Sturdiwheat Products Original and Cajun fish coating, the fish didn’t last long. On a side note Jason had a 24.5″ average walleye trip the morning before. (Yeah, he caught one fish )
After dark there was a fireworks display the like Everts Resort has never seen before.
All seemed to have a great time and we just want to say it one more time. Thank You All For Helping Us With Our Transition! It would have been hell without you!
